What Do AI Companies Actually Want From Your Data?
Frontier AI labs training robotics and multimodal models have largely exhausted what the open internet can teach them — internet video and text skew toward talking-head or already-scripted content, not unscripted first-person task performance.
What's in demand: first-person task footage (cooking, assembly, driving, hands-on repair), screen recordings of real software workflows, voice samples with clear consent, and — at the business level — anonymized operational, transaction, or usage data that shows how a real company actually runs.
What's not in demand: content you don't hold the rights to, footage already exclusively licensed elsewhere, or anything involving other identifiable people without their consent.
